The former 19 Kids and Counting star is estranged from her dad
It appears Jill Duggar isn't making any progress in repairing her estranged relationship with her dad, Jim Bob Duggar.
The former star, 32, has been blunt in her disapproval of her famous family — especially their devout following of Bill Gothard's controversial religious organization the Institute in Basic Life Principles, and their protection of her older brother Josh Duggar, who is currently serving time for possession of child pornography, among other crimes.
The mom-of-three also recently published her debut memoir, , and though in it she had teased a possible reconciliation with her dad, it appears the two have since taken a step back.
During a recent appearance on former Disney Channel star Christy Romano's podcast Vulnerable, Jill said that her relationship with Jim Bob remains strained —and things aren't any better between her father and her husband Derick Dillard.
Though she shared that their relationship "used to be really great," and that "Derick trusted my dad and my dad trusted him," she revealed it's no longer the case.

She does however recall a quasi-reconciliation in 2022 after her third baby, Freddy, was born, and how though she and her father had spent at that point years rarely seeing each other, when he visited her to meet his new grandson, she wrote: "We were able to connect in ways we'd not connected for years, and I was grateful for this unexpected gift."
