Selena & Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them: Spoilers, Episode Length

The new Yolanda Saldivar documentary consists of two episodes, both of which will air on Oxygen and stream online through Peacock. Both episodes are around 80-90 minutes in length.

In addition to hearing from Saldivar — speaking out from prison — the docuseries features interviews with the former Selena fan club president’s family members, along with Corpus Christi Police detectives who were on the scene of Selena’s murder, the prosecutors who put Saldivar on trial, and multiple journalists who covered the story for both English and Spanish-language press.

Per a release from Oxygen, “Saldivar details her working relationship and friendship with Selena, and she’s not alone. For the first time, members of Yolanda’s family discuss the two women and share never-before-revealed documents and recordings in an effort to show there was more to the tragedy than the public knows.”

Selena was at the height of her fame when she was gunned down by Saldivar on March 31, 1995, after the singer confronted the former nurse about embezzling money from her fan club. Saldivar was sentenced to life in prison in October 1995, with the possibility of parole in 30 years. The new documentary series comes one year before Saldivar is eligible for parole.
